“There is a shade of Red for every woman.”
As the saying goes… Red is one of the most loved colour by most women. Red roses, a red lipstick or those fierce nails, we love everything red.. don’t we? So guys, I am wearing a Red gown today. The red I chose here is a brick RED; this is a gorgeous colour and a subtle form of red inclining towards the cooler tone.
It is bold, confident and an in your face colour that I love to incorporate in my looks every now and then. This time I went ahead with everything Red with a hint of gold. I picked up this red ethnic gown for the wedding season. The latest season is very experimental when it comes to decide ethnic wear. Typical lehengas aren’t the only option as they used to be. Ethnic gowns are the latest in the fashion industry and mainly popularised by Sabyasachi Mukherjee. His collection has a lot of ethnic gowns and cape dresses with a heavy skirt inside giving a look of an ethnic gown.
My gown is basically a two two piece dress with a heavy layered skirt underneath and a slit at the back cape kind of layer on top. I love how beautifully the gold motifs sit on the net fabric and the gold lace accentuates the look. Such gowns elongates the body frame and make you look tall and thin. I added gold earrings along with a golden clutch to add the perfect detailing to the outfit.
My inspiration for this look was Deepika Padukone. She who wore a similar golden colour gown by designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee for one of the award functions.
