First trip to Neemrana Fort Palace!

Hey! Guys,

I am finally at Neemrana Fort Palace. It was on top of my Wish-List for a long time. The reason why I wanted to visit Neemrana Fort Palace is that I have never stayed in a palace-like hotel ever before.  Also, its close to Delhi and a short trip can be planned here.I & my husband are here to celebrate his birthday and spend some  quality time together in the calmness of this place. Its Indian, its rich and to top it all, its a palace.

Neemrana Fort Palace

I always fancied to go back in centuries and to feel the era of kingdoms and princesses. Neemrana Fort Palace is huge and it is rightly described as a ‘non-hotel’ hotel. Yes, they do not have T.V. in the rooms, its all about having a natural, close to the nature kind of feeling. The weather has been great since we have come here, it rained so heavily. My husband decided to go for a swim while I got ready for some clicks. Hence, we thought of capturing the beautiful palace through my husband’s lens. So without further ado, let’s get to the pictures. More details and a brief guide about Neemrana Port Palace will be followed on in next posts.

Hey guys!

This is my second straightener from Remington as well as my second ever to be purchased. I have been using my previous Remington straightener for past ten years; I bought it in the year 2006, during my high school. The previous one is still the same except that it does not have ceramic plates and was made with wet-to-straight technology but I rarely used it on damp hair as I believe using heat on damp hair will further increase hair damage. My straightener is still in very good condition but I wanted to buy a new one with ceramic plates so I picked up another one from Remington which is partly purple in colour.

Remington has some really amazing hair tools which work great and are affordable too. I ordered mine from US, a friend of my husband got it for me. It was half the rate for what it was being sold in India on various online shopping sites. I was so glad I did not buy it here. For the price it was being sold here, I picked up a curling rod as well. The straightener has wide ceramic plates with a swivel cord which are basic features nowadays in most of the hair tools especially hair straighteners. The heat settings are lowest to 410 degrees being the highest. I really like this straightener, it does its job so well. This straightener is about two inches broad, I would have preferred a thinner one. Had it been half the broad it is now, it would give more grip to work even better. It is a personal choice and I like mine to be only an inch wider because that ways it’s easier to work on shorter baby hair and around the areas close to face. I still believe this straightener is awesome in quality; It works like a pro salon tool and would not recommend buying an expensive one when a reasonable one can do such a great job.

L’oreal Matte Morphose Foundation ~ Review, Photos

Matte soufflé foundations are great for oily skin. I have used Lakme Absolute and Maybelline Dream Mousse Matte Foundation in the past and completely loved them. I really wanted to try the L’oreal Matte Morpose Foundation especially because the summer is here and I don’t really like to wear heavy foundations in hot weather.

Quantity – 9 g

Price – 1095 / $18.55

Product Description by L’oreal –

”L’Oreal Paris Matte Morphose achieves a matte, luminous finish for up to 12 hours. The feather-light soufflé foundation extends effortlessly across the skin with the lightest touch. Imperfections, fine lines and pores appear reduced.  Skin feels peachy-soft and looks transformed.”

It is very light weight and feels super smooth on the skin. It feels almost like a primer to me. I use my foundation brush to apply it to my face. You might want to dampen your brush a little bit if you find the texture too light and shedding as I used to do the same for my Maybelline Dream Mousse foundation which used to dry slightly. This foundation is light-medium coverage, I use it for my regular days. I don’t really like to use it for night makeup or some special occasion heavy makeup. This foundation is so easy in blending and best to use it in daily routine when you don’t have a lot of time for blending and setting. You can even skip the setting with compact part.  It keeps my skin fresh and matte for about 5-6 hours and I am in love with this product.

Note – This product contains a lot of silicones and if your skin is allergic to silicones, you should skip it.
